Morgana tries to stand up for herself, admittedly in an unsavoury way - she’s cast out as evil. Nimueh and Morgause previously did the same thing and they were both evil and dead. Isolde can stand up for herself, she’s little more than a cheap and easy way to get a couple together and she’s dead. Hunith protects her son, they burn her face off. Freya desperately tries to stop herself from hurting people although she physically cannot, and she’s dead. The Lamia was a creature but seen as a woman. ETC. Perhaps the writers should treat their female characters better…

Amen poster Amen

I agree that the Merlin writers/creators should do much better by their female characters-no doubt-BUT-I find it telling that this confessor describes Arwen as just a couple and no where in this person’s advocacy do they even mention Gwen by name. HELLO…Gwen AND Morgana are the biggest female characters on the show but I don’t see any outrage over the treatment of Gwen’s character…so I’m still giving this confessor the stank eye!!!
